SUGAR LAND, Texas (Interstat) — The Sugar Land Space Cowboys (2-0) will look to continue their perfect start to the season when they visit the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (1-1) on Tuesday night at 121 Financial Ballpark.

First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. EDT under cloudy skies with a game-time temperature of 69 degrees.

Sugar Land will send right-hander Ryan Gusto to the mound. Gusto owns a season record of wins and losses. He will be opposed by a Jacksonville pitcher to be announced.

The Space Cowboys are riding high after an 8-1 rout of the Round Rock Express on Sunday. Right-hander Spencer Arrighetti, a player to watch, was dominant in that victory, allowing one hit and striking out four over four scoreless innings. Shortstop Jack Winkler drove in four runs and designated hitter Carlos Pérez added a two-run homer.

Jacksonville evened its record with a 4-3 win over Rochester on Sunday. Left-hander Braxton Garrett, a key player for the Jumbo Shrimp, earned the win with 4 2/3 innings of one-run ball, allowing two hits and striking out three. The bullpen combination of William Kempner and Garrett Acton sealed the victory with three scoreless innings of relief.

The Interstat game simulator projects a high-scoring affair, favoring Sugar Land 6-5.

Following Tuesday’s contest, the two teams will meet again Wednesday through Sunday to complete the six-game series.
