Salt Lake Bees at Las Vegas Aviators

LAS VEGAS (Interstat) — The Salt Lake Bees and Las Vegas Aviators will look to generate some offense Sunday afternoon when they conclude a two-game season-opening series at Cashman Field.

The first meeting Saturday was a historic pitchers’ duel, resulting in a 0-0 tie, a rare score for a professional contest. Both clubs enter the Sunday matinee with 0-0 records.

First pitch is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. PDT under cloudy skies with a game-time temperature near 90 degrees.

The Aviators will aim to leverage home-field advantage to secure their first win before embarking on a lengthy homestand. Las Vegas opens a six-game set against the Oklahoma City Comets on Tuesday.

Salt Lake, meanwhile, continues its road trip before hosting the Sacramento River Cats for six games starting Tuesday.

Historically, these Pacific Coast League rivals have seen more fireworks. In their most recent matchup that produced a decision, the Bees topped the Aviators 8-4 in Las Vegas last September 21.

The Aviators’ last recorded result was a narrow 8-7 road loss to the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp on September 27, 2025.

A simulation by Interstat projects a return to higher scoring Sunday, favoring the Aviators 6-3.

Following this series, both teams dive into extended series against division foes, making an early victory a potential tone-setter for the opening week of the 2026 season.
