Tacoma Rainiers at Reno Aces
RENO, Nev. (Interstat) — The Tacoma Rainiers and Reno Aces will open their 2026 Pacific Coast League schedules on Saturday at Greater Nevada Field, with both clubs looking to build on strong finishes to the previous season.
First pitch is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. PDT under cloudy skies with a game-time temperature near 65 degrees.
The Rainiers will send right-hander Casey Lawrence to the mound. Lawrence’s season record is wins and losses. He will face a Reno lineup that edged Albuquerque 3-2 in 10 innings in its last exhibition, played last September.
Tacoma concluded its 2025 exhibition slate with a 7-3 loss at Las Vegas on Sept. 24. Both teams enter with official season records of 0-0.
The contest begins a two-game weekend set between the clubs. The series concludes Sunday before Tacoma returns home to host El Paso for a six-game series starting Tuesday. Reno will embark on a six-game road trip to Albuquerque beginning Tuesday.
According to Interstat’s game simulator, Saturday’s opener projects to be a high-scoring affair, with a predicted final of Tacoma 7, Reno 6.
Following the Sunday finale, the Rainiers’ homestand against El Paso runs from March 31 through April 5. The Aces’ subsequent homestand will feature Salt Lake from April 7-9.
