Yuba 81, at Contra Costa 77

MARTINEZ, Calif. (Interstat) — The Yuba 49ers narrowly defeated the Contra Costa Comets 81-77 in a California Community College Athletic Association men’s basketball game Saturday. Yuba built a six-point halftime lead and held off a second-half push by the Comets. Julius Wade led all scorers with 27 points and added eight rebounds for Contra Costa in the loss. The 49ers improved to 12-5 overall, while the Comets fell to 11-7. Contra Costa shot just 39% from the floor and 63% from the free-throw line.
