Hawks Soar Past Falcons in High-Scoring Junior College Matchup
HOWARD, Texas (Interstat) — The Howard (Tex.) Hawks used a dominant second half to defeat the Daytona State Falcons 96-75 in a men’s junior college basketball game Monday.
Howard, now 28-5, trailed 49-42 after a fast-paced first quarter but seized control by outscoring Daytona State 54-26 after halftime. Terry Copeland led the Hawks with 31 points and 11 rebounds. Brandon Ivery added 21 points and eight rebounds.
Tyrese Lacey scored 17 points for the Falcons, who fell to 23-8. Daytona State’s offense stalled in the second half, unable to match Howard’s consistent scoring output. The Hawks’ victory was fueled by a balanced attack with five players scoring in double figures.
