Wilbur Wright vs Harry S Truman
CHICAGO (Interstat) — Two men’s junior college basketball teams seeking to end prolonged slides will meet Saturday when the Harry S Truman Falcons host the Wilbur Wright Rams.
The Falcons (3-15) have lost four of their last five games, most recently a 78-64 home defeat to Olive-Harvey on Tuesday. The Rams (0-16) are still in search of their first win of the season, coming off a 75-59 loss to Olive-Harvey on Feb. 21.
In their first meeting this season on Dec. 16, Truman edged Wilbur Wright 77-71 on the road. The Falcons will look to complete the season sweep on their home floor.
A player to watch for Truman is Alioune Gningue, who was among his team’s most productive players in the loss to Olive-Harvey. For Wilbur Wright, Artis El has been highlighted as a key contributor in recent outings.
Truman’s season has been marked by narrow defeats and offensive struggles, though they secured an overtime victory over Kennedy-King, 73-70, on Feb. 19. Wilbur Wright’s season has been defined by defensive challenges, having allowed 84 or more points in eight of their 16 losses, including a 105-65 defeat at Kankakee on Feb. 10.
Saturday’s matchup represents one of the more winnable opportunities remaining on each team’s schedule. For the visiting Rams, it is a chance to finally break into the win column. For the Falcons, it is an opportunity to build momentum and secure a rare multi-win month.
Tipoff is set for Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026.
