Hagerstown vs Allegany (Md.)

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (Interstat) — The Hagerstown Hawks will look to avenge an early-season loss when they visit the Allegany (Md.) Trojans in a men’s junior college basketball game on Monday, Feb. 23, 2026.

The matchup at Allegany’s home court is a rematch of a Dec. 10 meeting, which the Trojans won 81-72 in Hagerstown. That result is part of a challenging season for the Hawks, who enter with a 3-11 overall record. Hagerstown is coming off a 74-67 road loss to Harcum on Feb. 17, its fourth defeat in the last five outings. Their lone win in that stretch was a 63-58 home victory over Baltimore City on Feb. 4.

Allegany, meanwhile, holds a 5-3 record and has been idle since a dominant 92-72 home win over Baltimore City on Jan. 19. In that contest, the Trojans were led by a trio of high scorers: Darrien Ponder (22 points, 5 rebounds), Alex Byrd (19 points, 9 rebounds) and Dorrell Little (17 points, 9 rebounds). The Trojans have won three of their last four games, including the earlier victory over Hagerstown and an 89-81 road win at Harcum on Jan. 17.

The Hawks will need to find consistent offense to challenge the Trojans. In the December loss, Hagerstown kept pace for much of the game but ultimately fell by nine points. Reversing that outcome on the road presents a significant challenge against an Allegany team that has performed well at home this season.

This game is the first of two scheduled meetings between the teams in quick succession; they are also set to play on Tuesday, Feb. 24, according to available schedules. For Hagerstown, the back-to-back offers a crucial opportunity to build momentum and improve its standing. For Allegany, maintaining its winning form is essential ahead of a busy week that includes games against Baltimore City on Feb. 25 and Harcum on Feb. 28.

Tipoff is scheduled for Monday evening at Allegany’s home arena in Maryland.
