John A Logan Races Past Shawnee in Men’s Junior College Basketball
HARRISBURG, Ill. (Interstat) — John A Logan built a large early lead and cruised to a 92-72 men’s junior college basketball victory over Shawnee on Monday night. The visiting Volunteers led 34-30 after a high-scoring first quarter and pulled away decisively before halftime, outscoring the Saints 58-42 in the second quarter. The win improved John A Logan’s season record to 12-6. Shawnee fell to 7-9 with the loss. The Saints’ DeShun Jackson led all scorers, but his effort was not enough to overcome the Volunteers’ balanced offensive attack. Interstat’s ELO system had given John A Logan a 57.6% probability to win. The teams are scheduled to meet again March 3 at John A Logan.
