John A Logan vs Lincoln Trail

Preview: John A Logan at Lincoln Trail, Men’s Junior College Basketball

ROBINSON, Ill. (Interstat) — The John A Logan Volunteers, riding a four-game winning streak, will visit the Lincoln Trail Statesmen in a men’s junior college basketball matchup on Monday, Feb. 2, 2026.

The Volunteers (9-5) enter with momentum following a 70-54 road victory over Vincennes on Saturday. Guard Christian Doerr led the way in that contest with 16 points, five rebounds and six assists. Doerr has been a key facilitator during the streak, averaging over five assists in his last three full appearances.

John A Logan’s offense has been potent, scoring 90 or more points in three of its last five games, including a 107-point outing at Lake Land on Jan. 7. Marcus Eaves (16 points, eight rebounds vs. Vincennes) and Camron McDaniels (14 points, seven rebounds) provide additional scoring depth.

The Lincoln Trail Statesmen (5-5) look to rebound after a 75-82 loss at Lake Land on Saturday. They had previously won three straight, including a 73-69 victory over Southwestern Illinois on Jan. 21. Guard Jared Jackson has been a standout during that span, posting 18 points, seven rebounds, five assists and two blocks against Southwestern Illinois and 20 points with five assists at Kaskaskia on Jan. 14.

The game presents a contrast in recent form, with the visiting Volunteers seeking their fifth consecutive win and the Statesmen aiming to stabilize at .500 on their home floor. The teams will meet again in Carterville on Feb. 28.

John A Logan’s next game is at home against Wabash Valley on Feb. 4. Lincoln Trail hosts Vincennes on Feb. 4.

Tip-off is scheduled for Monday night at Lincoln Trail College.
