LEE (Interstat) — Josh Smith scored 29 points to lead the Lee Runnin’ Rebels to a 67-66 overtime victory over the Trinity Valley Cardinals in a men’s junior college basketball game Saturday.

Smith added six rebounds for Lee, which improved to 13-13. The Runnin’ Rebels erased a 15-point halftime deficit, outscoring Trinity Valley 35-21 in the second quarter to force a tight finish.

Davin Mercer led Trinity Valley with 16 points and seven rebounds. Moussa Konare had 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Cardinals, who fell to 25-5 despite a 34-point first quarter. The teams were tied after regulation before Lee secured the narrow win.
