LOS ANGELES (Interstat) — Karifala Conde scored 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds Wednesday night to lead the Los Angeles Southwest men’s basketball team to an 85-80 victory over Los Angeles Trade Tech.

The Cougars, who improved to 9-6, used a 50-point second half to overcome a 44-36 halftime deficit. Los Angeles Southwest shot 58% from the floor and posted an offensive rating of 129.1 on 64 possessions. Hosea Steele, Jr. added 15 points and eight rebounds for the Cougars.

The Beavers, who fell to 6-9, were led by a 36-point first half but could not maintain the pace. The game was a California Community College Athletic Association contest.
