Cosumnes River vs Reedley

Preview: Cosumnes River Hawks at Reedley Tigers

REEDLEY, Calif. (Interstat) — Two of California’s top junior college men’s basketball teams will meet Saturday when the Cosumnes River Hawks visit the Reedley Tigers.

The Hawks (8-2) and Tigers (8-3) enter the non-conference matchup with nearly identical records and momentum, each riding a four-game winning streak. The game is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025.

Cosumnes River, coming off a 90-73 home victory over Siskiyous on Dec. 6, has been led by forward Jake Williams. The standout recently posted a 16-point, 9-rebound performance in a win over Lassen on Dec. 5. Over his last four games, Williams is averaging 13.0 points and 7.8 rebounds.

Reedley counters with its own dynamic guard in Kevin Chambers, who is facilitating the offense at a high level. In the Tigers’ 69-54 win over Cerro Coso on Dec. 10, Chambers nearly notched a double-double with 12 points and nine assists. Over his last four contests, he has averaged 9.5 assists per game, demonstrating elite playmaking ability.

The Tigers’ recent surge includes decisive wins over Shasta, Siskiyous and Lassen earlier this month. Their offense has clicked, averaging 76.0 points during the win streak.

Cosumnes River’s two losses this season were by a combined four points—a three-point defeat to Sequoias and a one-point loss at Las Positas. The Hawks have shown offensive firepower, scoring 90 or more points in three games this season.

This contest serves as a key resume-building opportunity for both programs before league play begins in January. The Tigers will look to protect their home court and extend their streak, while the Hawks aim to continue their strong start and secure a quality road victory.

Following this game, Cosumnes River will host Butte on Tuesday, Dec. 16. Reedley travels to face Las Positas on Wednesday, Dec. 17.
