SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Interstat) — The struggling Lassen Cougars seek to halt a seven-game skid when they face the Reedley Tigers in a California Community College Athletic Association men’s basketball game Thursday.

The non-conference matchup is part of the 42OT Annual James Clark Classic at a neutral site in Sacramento.

Lassen (1-7) has lost seven straight since a season-opening win. Its most recent outing was a narrow 87-83 home loss to Sacramento City on Nov. 22. CJ Kornegay Jr. led the Cougars in that defeat with 20 points and seven rebounds.

Reedley (4-3) enters with a more balanced record, coming off a 76-62 home victory over Canada College on Nov. 19. The Tigers have shown potency, averaging 81.3 points in their wins, but have also endured lopsided losses, including a 102-71 defeat to Modesto.

This is the first of two scheduled meetings between the teams this season. They are set to play again in Reedley on Jan. 28.

Tipoff is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025.
