UKIAH, Calif. (Interstat) — The Feather River and Mendocino men’s basketball teams will meet Saturday in a non-conference junior college matchup as part of the Coach Tregs Classic.

Feather River (6-4) enters with a winning record, while Mendocino (4-5) looks to get back to .500. Both teams are coming off victories on Nov. 22. The Golden Eagles defeated Merritt 76-60 behind a triple-double from Damonte Duhart, who had 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. The Eagles earned an 87-82 home win over Siskiyous.

Feather River has shown a pattern of strong road performances, including an overtime win at Contra Costa, but has also suffered several double-digit road losses. Mendocino has split its last four games, with its victory over Siskiyous representing its highest offensive output of the season.

The game will be a contrast in scheduling, as Mendocino hosts College of the Redwoods on Friday night, while Feather River will be rested ahead of the Saturday tip-off.

Following this matchup, Feather River begins a stretch of four road games in its next five contests, starting at American River on Dec. 12. Mendocino hits the road for three of its next four, beginning at Shasta on Dec. 12.
