OXNARD, Calif. (Interstat) — The Oxnard College men’s basketball team will look to snap a three-game skid when it faces Los Angeles Valley College in the West LA College Wild West Shootout Classic on Thursday, December 4, 2025.

Both teams enter the non-conference tournament seeking momentum. The Condors (2-5) are coming off a 78-73 home loss to Rio Hondo on Nov. 28, despite a 23-point, 9-rebound performance from Carter Reid. Ruben Jimenez added 13 points and Tristan Carter scored 18. Oxnard’s last win was Nov. 6 against Coalinga.

The Monarchs (1-3) last played on Nov. 22, falling 71-63 at Desert. Sean Morgan recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds in that contest, while Gionn Swann added 11 points and five assists. L.A. Valley’s sole victory was a 59-53 win over San Diego Miramar on Nov. 2.

The tournament game at West Los Angeles College tips off a busy stretch for both programs. Oxnard faces Los Angeles City College on Dec. 6, while L.A. Valley hosts Cuesta College on Dec. 11.
