Snow vs Southern Idaho

Top-Ranked Snow Badgers Face Southern Idaho Eagles in High-Stakes JUCO Showdown

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (Interstat) — A men’s junior college basketball national championship atmosphere is expected Saturday when the No. 1-ranked Snow College Badgers visit the Southern Idaho Golden Eagles in a regular-season finale with major postseason implications.

The Badgers (27-1), whose only loss this season came at Southern Idaho on Jan. 15, enter on a 12-game winning streak. The Eagles (22-2), whose only losses are to Snow and North Idaho, have won five straight. Tipoff is set for Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026.

This matchup is a rubber game, with each team winning on its home floor earlier this season. Southern Idaho took the first meeting 84-76 on Jan. 15, but Snow evened the series with an 83-77 home victory on Jan. 31.

Snow’s dominance has been fueled by guard McCaden Adams, a dynamic scorer and facilitator. Adams averaged 20.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists over his last five games, including an 18-point, 6-rebound, 4-assist performance in the Jan. 31 win over Southern Idaho. He is coming off a 25-point, 6-rebound, 6-assist effort in a 100-87 win over Colorado Northwestern last Saturday.

Southern Idaho will counter with guard Ace Reiser, who scored 26 points in a tight 79-77 road win at North Idaho last weekend. Reiser was held to 14 points in the loss at Snow last month and will be seeking a more impactful performance on his home court to secure a season-series split.

Both teams feature balanced attacks. In Snow’s latest win, Sam Sivulich dished 12 assists and Aaron Bliss grabbed 10 rebounds alongside Adams’ all-around play. For Southern Idaho, Nathan Ahner and Guygustone Kasenga provide critical support to Reiser.

With nearly identical defensive prowess and elite records, Saturday’s contest is likely to be a tightly contested battle for regional supremacy and national seeding. The Eagles aim to prove their January home win was no fluke and hand the Badgers just their second loss, while Snow looks to solidify its top ranking and carry momentum into the postseason.
