OXNARD, Calif. (Interstat) — The Rio Hondo Roadrunners earned their first win of the season, upsetting the Oxnard Condors 78-73 in a men’s junior college basketball game Friday. Rio Hondo built a substantial first-half lead and held off a late Oxnard rally for the victory. The result was a surprise after statistical models heavily favored the Condors to win. The Roadrunners improved to 1-6 on the season, while Oxnard fell to 2-5.
