Redwoods vs Siskiyous
WEED, Calif. (Interstat) — The College of the Redwoods Corsairs and College of the Siskiyous Eagles, two men’s junior college basketball teams riding the momentum of high-scoring victories, are set for a Friday matchup at the Mendocino Tournament.
Redwoods (4-2) enters the contest after a 95-85 road win against Sacramento City on Thursday. The Corsairs’ season has been marked by offensive outbursts, including a 106-point performance in their season opener, but also a 59-point loss to San Francisco that highlights some inconsistency.
Siskiyous (3-3) also comes in off a win, having defeated Los Medanos 95-83 at home on Thursday. The Eagles have shown a Jekyll-and-Hyde tendency, with victories by 16-plus points alongside losses by 37 and 25 points.
According to the Interstat ELO system, Redwoods is projected as a significant favorite with a 75.70 percent probability to win.
This non-conference tournament game is the first of two scheduled meetings between the teams this season. They are slated to meet again on Jan. 17, 2026, in Eureka.
Following this tournament, Redwoods will travel to face Columbia (Calif.) on Nov. 29. Siskiyous’ next contest is at Las Positas on Dec. 4.
