Howard (Tex.) vs Lamar
BIG SPRING, Texas (Interstat) — The surging Howard (Texas) Hawks will look to extend their winning streak when they visit the Lamar Runnin’ Lopes in a men’s junior college basketball game on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025.
Howard (Texas) (4-1) enters the contest riding a four-game winning streak, most recently defeating Navarro 78-58 on Nov. 15. The Hawks’ only loss this season was a narrow 72-71 defeat against Northern Oklahoma-Enid on Nov. 3.
The Runnin’ Lopes (2-4), however, are looking to snap a two-game skid. Lamar is coming off a high-scoring 88-85 home loss to South Plains on Nov. 15. In that game, Christian Payawal led the team with 20 points and five assists, while RJ Foreman added 22 points.
The matchup pits Howard’s consistent offense, which has scored at least 71 points in every game this season, against a Lamar squad that has shown both explosive potential, scoring 101 points in a win over Colby, and defensive vulnerabilities.
Saturday’s game is the first of a 10-game stretch for both teams leading into the new year.
