BARSTOW, Calif. (Interstat) — Two teams seeking their first win of the young season will meet Saturday when the Barstow Vikings host the Oxnard Condors in a men’s junior college basketball game at the COC Tournament.

Both teams enter the contest with 0-1 records after suffering season-opening road losses on Friday. Oxnard fell 68-67 to Cuyamaca in a narrow defeat, while Barstow was handed an 87-59 loss by Canyons.

The matchup presents an early opportunity for either the Condors or Vikings to correct course. Oxnard will look to bounce back from the sting of a one-point loss, a game that was decided by a single possession. Barstow, meanwhile, aims for a significantly improved defensive effort after allowing 87 points in its opener.

Following this tournament game, the Condors will prepare for their home opener against Coalinga on Nov. 6. The Vikings will return home to host Bakersfield on Nov. 4.

Tip-off is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025.
