Giants Dominate Claim Jumpers in Conference Showdown

VISALIA, Calif. (Interstat) — The College of the Sequoias Giants avenged an earlier loss with a commanding 95-66 victory over the Columbia Claim Jumpers in a California community college men’s basketball game Friday night.

Sequoias seized control immediately, building a 46-30 lead after the first quarter and extending it to 95-66 by halftime. The Giants’ defense stifled Columbia the rest of the way, as neither team scored in the second half. The win improved Sequoias to 22-6 this season, while Columbia fell to 22-4. Javon Bragg led a balanced Giants’ attack. The teams had split their season series, with Columbia winning 76-73 on Jan. 28.
