San Francisco vs Skyline
SAN FRANCISCO (24-1) AT SKYLINE (10-16)
MEN’S JUNIOR COLLEGE BASKETBALL PREVIEW
SAN BRUNO, Calif. (Interstat) — The state-leading San Francisco Rams put their 12-game winning streak on the line Wednesday night in a California Community College Athletic Association rematch against the Skyline Trojans.
The Rams, whose lone loss came in November, have been dominant in conference play, winning by an average margin of 30.2 points. Their 24-1 record stands in stark contrast to Skyline’s 10-16 campaign. San Francisco handed the Trojans a 98-56 defeat just over three weeks ago on Jan. 23.
San Francisco arrives following a 76-57 victory over Chabot on Feb. 13. A key contributor is Kirby Seals, who posted 9 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in just one minute of play in a win over Canada College on Feb. 4, showcasing high efficiency.
Skyline looks to rebound from a 61-52 home loss to Canada College on Feb. 13. The Trojans will rely on Isiah Dixon, who turned in a monumental performance with 24 points and 13 rebounds in a narrow 53-51 loss to San Mateo on Feb. 6. Consistency has been an issue, however, as Dixon was held to a single minute in a lopsided loss to Las Positas on Feb. 11.
Despite the glaring disparity in records and the previous head-to-head result, Interstat’s game simulator projects a highly unusual 100-100 tie, suggesting potential for an offensive shootout.
The Rams’ next game is at home against Las Positas on Friday. Skyline travels to face De Anza on Friday.
Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. PST at Skyline College.
