De Anza vs Chabot

HAYWARD, Calif. (Interstat) — The Chabot Gladiators will look to complete a regular-season sweep and solidify their playoff positioning when they host the De Anza Mountain Lions in a California community college men’s basketball matchup Wednesday.

Chabot (17-9) enters the contest having won five of its last seven games, despite a 76-57 road loss to San Francisco on Feb. 13. The Gladiators previously dominated De Anza, securing a 90-51 victory in Cupertino on Jan. 23. A player to watch for the Gladiators is Kamari King, who logged a minute in their Feb. 6 contest against Las Positas.

De Anza (10-16) seeks to halt a four-game skid and avenge January’s lopsided defeat. The Mountain Lions are coming off an 87-59 home loss to San Mateo on Feb. 13. Their last win was an 87-66 road victory at Canada College on Feb. 6. Guard Isaac Sisay, who recorded two rebounds and an assist in 28 minutes at Skyline on Jan. 28, is a player to watch for the Mountain Lions.

The Gladiators have demonstrated a stronger consistency in conference play, while the Mountain Lions have struggled since their overtime win against Canada on Jan. 14, posting a 2-7 record in that span. Chabot’s defense, which held De Anza to 51 points in the prior meeting, will be a key factor.

Wednesday’s result will impact seeding for the upcoming regional playoffs. A Chabot win would bolster its standing, while a De Anza upset could provide crucial momentum for the stretch run.

Tipoff is set for Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026, at Chabot College.
