Preview: Marin at Solano, Men’s Junior College Basketball

FAIRFIELD, Calif. (Interstat) — The Marin Mariners visit the Solano Falcons in a California Community College men’s basketball matchup on Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, with the teams trending in opposite directions.

Marin (13-10) enters looking to solidify its standing after a narrow 90-82 overtime road loss to Merritt on Feb. 6. Prior to that, the Mariners showcased their offensive potential in a 104-88 victory over Los Medanos on Feb. 4.

Solano (4-19) seeks momentum from its most recent win, a 64-63 home victory over Alameda on Feb. 4. The Falcons followed that with an 86-67 loss at Contra Costa on Feb. 6.

The Mariners dominated the previous meeting this season, routing Solano 97-44 at home on Jan. 14.

A key player for Marin is Olivier Borgol, who posted a dominant 22-point, 17-rebound performance in 30 minutes during the win over Los Medanos. For Solano, guard Nicko Ignacio is a focal point. He scored 16 points with five rebounds and four assists in the win over Alameda and logged a 40-minute, 17-point effort in a loss to Los Medanos on Jan. 16.

Despite the disparity in records and the lopsided earlier result, Interstat’s game simulator projects a highly competitive contest, forecasting a 100-100 final score.

Following this game, Marin travels to face Yuba on Feb. 17, while Solano visits Los Medanos on the same date.

Tipoff is scheduled for Friday night at Solano College.
