San Joaquin Delta vs Sierra
Preview: San Joaquin Delta at Sierra Men’s Basketball
ROCKLIN, Calif. (Interstat) — A surging Sierra College men’s basketball team will look to solidify its standing and complete a regular-season sweep when it hosts San Joaquin Delta College on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026.
The Wolverines (19-4 overall) enter as one of the state’s top junior college teams, having won nine of their last 10 games. Their most recent outing was a decisive 101-78 road victory at Folsom Lake on Feb. 6. Sierra’s offense is powered by guard Garret Dutro, who is coming off a 29-point performance in a tight 82-78 win over Modesto on Feb. 3.
The visiting Mustangs (10-11) seek consistency and an upset to climb back to .500. Delta is coming off an 86-79 home win over Sacramento City on Tuesday, which snapped a two-game skid. Prior to that, the Mustangs suffered losses to Modesto (75-56) and Cosumnes River (78-53).
This matchup is a quick rematch of a January thriller. On Tuesday, Jan. 13, Sierra escaped Stockton with a 100-96 victory over Delta in a high-scoring affair. The Mustangs will aim for revenge on the Wolverines’ home floor.
Sierra’s season has been marked by offensive firepower and clutch performances, including narrow wins over Cosumnes River (76-75) and Diablo Valley (73-70). Their four losses have all been by 10 points or fewer.
Delta’s season has been more turbulent, with the team unable to string together more than two consecutive wins since early January. Their path to an upset likely requires containing Dutro and slowing Sierra’s potent transition game.
The game is a key California Community College Athletic Conference contest for both teams as they enter the final stretch of the regular season. Following this game, Sierra will host Sacramento City on Feb. 17, while Delta travels to face Diablo Valley on the same date.
Tip-off is scheduled for Thursday night at Sierra College.
