Ohlone vs De Anza
Preview: Ohlone Renegades at De Anza Mountain Lions
CUPERTINO, Calif. (Interstat) — Two men’s junior college basketball teams with identical records and a recent nail-biter between them will meet again Wednesday when the Ohlone Renegades visit the De Anza Mountain Lions.
The California community college matchup features two teams at 10-14 overall, both seeking momentum as the season enters its final weeks. Their first meeting this season was a classic, with De Anza escaping Fremont with a 74-72 victory on Jan. 16.
Ohlone arrives after a difficult 109-54 road loss to San Francisco on Feb. 6, part of a three-game skid. The Renegades’ last win was a 68-65 victory over San Mateo on Jan. 30. Their offense has struggled during the losing streak, averaging just 65.3 points per game.
De Anza, the designated home team, is coming off a strong 87-66 win at Canada College on Feb. 6. That victory snapped a two-game losing streak for the Mountain Lions. A player to watch for De Anza is Isaac Sisay, though his recent minutes have been limited. In the win over Canada, Sisay played one minute.
The Jan. 16 result suggests another tight contest. In that game, De Anza held off a late Ohlone rally to secure the two-point win. The rematch offers Ohlone a chance for immediate redemption on its rival’s floor.
According to Interstat’s game simulator, this contest is projected to be a high-scoring deadlock, with a predicted final score of 100-100. Such an outcome would force overtime, mirroring the tense nature of their first encounter.
Both teams have challenging schedules ahead. Following Wednesday’s game, Ohlone will host Las Positas on Friday, while De Anza will welcome San Mateo.
The game is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026, at De Anza College in Cupertino. Tip-off time is to be announced.
