Folsom Lake vs Diablo Valley

PLEASANT HILL, Calif. (Interstat) — The Diablo Valley College Vikings will look to continue their momentum and complete a season sweep when they host the Folsom Lake College Falcons in a California Community College men’s basketball matchup Tuesday night.

The Vikings (10-11) enter on the heels of a dominant 93-60 road victory over Sacramento City on Feb. 6. Diablo Valley has won two of its last three games. The Falcons (6-18) are seeking to halt a four-game losing skid, including a 101-78 home loss to Sierra on that same Friday.

This contest is a rematch from Jan. 10, when the Vikings defeated the Falcons 82-71 in Folsom. Diablo Valley used a balanced attack to secure the win in that first meeting.

A key player to watch for the Vikings is Jacob Harvey, who is coming off a monstrous performance. In the win over Sacramento City, Harvey recorded 17 points and a staggering 20 rebounds in just one minute of play, a statistical anomaly that underscores a dominant outing. Over his last three games, Harvey has averaged 12.3 points and 10.3 rebounds, providing a consistent interior presence for Diablo Valley.

Folsom Lake, meanwhile, has struggled for consistency during a difficult season. Their last win was an 85-71 victory over San Joaquin Delta on Jan. 20. Since then, the Falcons have lost five of six, with their only victory in that span coming against American River on Jan. 16. Containing Harvey and improving defensive efficiency will be critical for the Falcons to reverse their fortunes on the road.

For Diablo Valley, the game represents an opportunity to climb above .500 and build confidence before hosting Cosumnes River on Thursday. Folsom Lake aims to use the rematch as a chance for redemption and to disrupt the Vikings’ plans.

Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Diablo Valley College.
