Bulldogs, Brahmas Set for Rematch in California JUCO Clash

LOS ANGELES (Interstat) — A surging Allan Hancock squad will look to continue its winning ways against a struggling Los Angeles Pierce team when the Bulldogs visit the Brahmas in a California community college men’s basketball game Saturday.

The Bulldogs (17-7) enter on a three-game win streak, including a dominant 71-52 victory over Cuesta on Wednesday. The Brahmas (5-17) have lost four straight, most recently a 124-79 defeat at Ventura on Jan. 31.

Allan Hancock, led by standout forward Noah Morris, previously routed Los Angeles Pierce 92-57 on Jan. 14. In that game, Morris posted 12 points and six rebounds in just 20 minutes. He has been a force since, recording double-doubles in four of his last five contests. He is coming off a 14-point, 16-rebound performance against Cuesta.

Pierce will counter with guard Milan Kis, who scored 15 points in the loss to Ventura. Kis was held to just two points in the previous meeting with Hancock.

The Bulldogs have won five of their last seven games. The Brahmas’ only win in their last 10 outings was an 84-74 victory at Oxnard on Jan. 21.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, the projected final score is a 100-100 tie.

Following this contest, Allan Hancock visits Moorpark on Feb. 11. Los Angeles Pierce travels to Santa Barbara on the same date.
