Napa Valley vs Mendocino
NAPA, Calif. (Interstat) — Two men’s junior college basketball teams seeking momentum will meet Friday when the Napa Valley Storm visit the Mendocino Eagles in a California community college matchup.
The game, scheduled for Feb. 6, 2026, features teams with nearly identical records. Napa Valley enters at 8-14 overall, while Mendocino sits at 7-16.
The Storm won the first meeting this season, an 80-72 home victory over the Eagles on Jan. 8. In that contest, Napa Valley’s defense contained Mendocino’s offense for much of the night.
Both teams are coming off narrow results from Jan. 30. Napa Valley fell 82-80 on the road against Los Medanos, a game decided in the final possessions. Mendocino, however, secured a notable 70-61 road win against Alameda, providing a boost after a 100-66 loss to Yuba two days prior.
Recent form shows inconsistency for both squads. Napa Valley has split its last four games, with wins over Marin and Solano offset by losses to Contra Costa and Los Medanos. Mendocino’s victory over Alameda snapped a two-game skid and was one of its better defensive performances of the season.
According to Interstat’s game simulator, this contest is projected to be a high-scoring and even affair, with a predicted final score of 100-100. This suggests a potential shootout between two teams familiar with each other’s schemes.
The matchup could hinge on which team controls the tempo. Napa Valley will look to replicate its successful formula from the January win. Mendocino, energized by its recent road victory, aims to defend its home court and level the season series.
Following this game, Napa Valley will prepare for a road game at Solano on Feb. 11. Mendocino will hit the road for a game at Marin on the same date.
