Desert vs Mount San Jacinto

SAN JACINTO, Calif. (Interstat) — The Mount San Jacinto Eagles will look to continue their winning ways and solidify their standing in the California community college basketball landscape when they host the struggling Desert Roadrunners in a men’s game Wednesday night.

The Eagles (16-6) enter the matchup having won seven of their last eight games, including a narrow 74-70 victory over Copper Mountain on Jan. 28. Their recent surge contrasts sharply with the Roadrunners’ (5-15) season, as Desert has lost five of its last six contests, most recently an 88-65 defeat at Barstow on Jan. 31.

Mount San Jacinto already owns a victory over Desert this season, a 96-91 road win on Jan. 3. The rematch at home presents an opportunity for the Eagles to sweep the season series.

A key matchup will feature two of the region’s top forwards. Mount San Jacinto’s Adrian Mosley has been on a tear, averaging a double-double over his last several games. He scored 27 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in the win over Copper Mountain and posted a 32-point, 10-rebound performance against Barstow on Jan. 7.

Desert will counter with De’miem King, who is capable of explosive performances despite his team’s record. King scored 23 points with eight rebounds in the loss at Barstow and had a 27-point outing in a win over Cerro Coso on Jan. 10. His consistency will be critical for the Roadrunners to keep pace.

The Eagles’ balance, featuring contributors like Willie Miller and Tyler Frazier-Mathews, has been a strength. Desert, meanwhile, has shown vulnerability on defense, allowing over 100 points in three of its last seven games.

Tipoff is set for Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026. For Mount San Jacinto, the game is a chance to build momentum ahead of a key road test at Barstow on Saturday. Desert seeks an elusive upset to turn its season around before hosting San Bernardino Valley on Feb. 7.
