San Joaquin Delta vs Folsom Lake
FOLSOM, Calif. (Interstat) — The San Joaquin Delta Mustangs will look to halt a two-game skid when they visit the Folsom Lake Falcons in a California community college men’s basketball matchup Tuesday night.
Delta (8-7) enters the contest following a 90-73 home loss to Diablo Valley on Friday and a narrow 100-96 defeat to Sierra on Jan. 13. The Mustangs’ recent form has been inconsistent, with their last five games resulting in a 2-3 record. A key player to watch for the Mustangs is Cameron Lowe, who posted a 10-rebound performance in a loss at Cosumnes River on Jan. 6.
The Falcons (5-13) snapped a four-game losing streak with an 88-79 road victory over American River on Friday. That win marked a rare bright spot in a challenging season for Folsom Lake, which has struggled defensively, including a 36-point outing in an 84-36 loss at Santa Rosa on Jan. 6.
Despite their sub-.500 record, the Mustangs have shown an ability to score, averaging approximately 77 points per game in their last five contests. Their success has often hinged on defensive performance, as they held opponents under 70 points in several of their eight wins.
Folsom Lake will aim to build momentum from its recent win and protect its home court. The Falcons’ victory over American River demonstrated offensive potential they have lacked for much of the season.
This game represents the first of two regular-season meetings between the teams. They are scheduled to play again at San Joaquin Delta on Feb. 20.
Tipoff is set for Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026, at Folsom Lake College.
