Allan Hancock vs Cuesta
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (Interstat) — A surging Allan Hancock squad visits a struggling Cuesta team in a California community college men’s basketball matchup Saturday.
The Bulldogs (12-5) enter on a high note after a 77-70 home victory over Oxnard on Wednesday. The Cougars (5-11), meanwhile, look to halt a skid following a 75-69 road loss to Redwoods on Jan. 3.
Allan Hancock has won three of its last four games, with its only loss in that span an 85-69 defeat at Lemoore. Cuesta has dropped four of its last five contests, with its sole win a forfeit over Shasta.
A key matchup will feature two of the conference’s top performers. Allan Hancock’s Noah Morris is coming off a dominant 24-point, 17-rebound effort in the win over Oxnard. Over his last two games, the forward is averaging 16.5 points and 16 rebounds.
Cuesta will counter with guard Corbin Rossi, who scored 17 points with seven rebounds and three assists in a 70-65 win over Cypress on Dec. 29. He followed that with 10 points in a road win at Oxnard.
The Bulldogs’ balanced attack was on display Wednesday, with Trenten Lavender adding 11 points and six assists and TJ Hollinger contributing eight points, seven rebounds and five assists.
Cuesta’s recent struggles are highlighted by a 114-69 loss to Foothill on Dec. 20. The Cougars will need to find consistency on both ends of the floor to challenge the Bulldogs.
This game opens the conference schedule for both teams. The rematch is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 4, in Santa Maria.
Tip-off is set for Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026, at Cuesta College.
