Bossier Parish vs Lee
LEE, Texas (Interstat) — The Lee College Runnin’ Rebels will look to improve their position in the conference standings when they host the struggling Bossier Parish Cavaliers in a men’s junior college basketball game Wednesday night.
Lee (11-13) enters the contest having lost three straight, including a 67-50 road defeat at Trinity Valley on Saturday. The Runnin’ Rebels will rely on guard Josh Smith, who scored 20 points with eight rebounds in that loss. Smith has been a consistent scorer, averaging 17.2 points over his last five games where he saw significant minutes.
Bossier Parish (5-17) seeks to snap a two-game skid after falling 87-79 to Blinn at home on Saturday. The Cavaliers’ season has been marked by inconsistency, but they boast a dynamic scorer in Drew Cooper. The guard is coming off a 25-point performance in a win over Lamar State-Port Arthur on Feb. 25 and has averaged 16.0 points over his last five outings.
The teams met earlier this season on Jan. 14, with Lee securing a 92-79 road victory over Bossier Parish. The Runnin’ Rebels will aim for a regular-season sweep on their home floor.
For Lee, a win is crucial to halt their recent slide and stay above .500 at home. For Bossier Parish, the game represents an opportunity to build momentum and play spoiler against a conference rival. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. CST on March 4 at Lee College.
Following this game, Lee will host Trinity Valley on Saturday, March 7, while Bossier Parish travels to face Coastal Bend the same day.
