Wake Tech vs Brunswick

Preview: Wake Tech Eagles at Brunswick Dolphins

SUPPLY, N.C. (Interstat) — The Brunswick Dolphins, riding a strong 16-5 season, will look to complete a regular-season sweep when they host the struggling Wake Tech Eagles in a men’s junior college basketball game Wednesday night.

The Dolphins, who have won eight of their last ten games, narrowly defeated the Eagles 85-76 in overtime on Feb. 11 in the teams’ first meeting. Brunswick’s Linwood Rowe had 12 points and five rebounds in that contest.

Rowe enters Wednesday’s game as a focal point, averaging 17.6 points and 6.9 rebounds over his last nine outings. He is coming off a 27-point performance in a 100-90 road loss to Caldwell Tech on Feb. 28. Brunswick seeks to rebound from a 104-89 defeat at Gaston on Sunday.

Wake Tech (7-10) aims to build momentum after snapping a three-game skid with a 93-75 victory at Denmark Tech on Feb. 28. Guard BJ Solomon led the Eagles in that win, posting 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists in just one minute of play, according to available statistics.

Solomon will be a key player for the Eagles as they attempt to solve a Dolphins defense that has held opponents under 80 points in 12 games this season. Beyond Solomon, Wake Tech received significant contributions from Tequan Holley (12 points, 12 rebounds) and Charles Matheka (17 points, five rebounds, five assists) in its latest win.

The Eagles’ season has been marked by inconsistency, with their recent victory representing only their second win in the past seven games. Brunswick, by contrast, has established itself as one of the region’s top teams, boasting a perfect 9-0 record at home.

Tipoff is set for Wednesday, March 4, 2026. Brunswick’s next game is at home against Denmark Tech on Sunday, March 8.
