Shelton State dominated Gadsden State 87-57 in a men’s junior college basketball game Monday night. The Buccaneers built a commanding 48-23 lead by the end of the first quarter and never looked back.

Marcus Towns led the Cardinals with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Jaedin Reyna added 15 points. Shelton State showcased a balanced attack, with Rodwick Jackson scoring 12 points and grabbing six rebounds off the bench. Shah Hall contributed 11 points and seven rebounds.

The victory improved Shelton State’s record to 18-6. Gadsden State fell to 10-9. The Buccaneers avenged a loss to the Cardinals from Feb. 2.
