MOBERLY, Mo. (Interstat) — Shaunassey Hatchett scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds Saturday to lead the Moberly Area Greyhounds to an 82-78 men’s junior college basketball victory over the Mineral Area Cardinals.

Moberly Area, which improved to 18-5, held off a high-scoring Mineral Area attack that posted 46 points in the second quarter. The Greyhounds got 43 points in the opening period to establish an early edge they never relinquished.

Nassir Binion led all scorers with 21 points for Mineral Area, which fell to 17-10. Lavonta Ivery added 19 points for Moberly Area, while Josh Lowe contributed 18. The Greyhounds swept the regular-season series, having also won on Feb. 7.
