Andrew vs East Georgia State

Preview: Andrew Fighting Tigers at East Georgia State Bobcats

SWAINSBORO, Ga. (Interstat) — The East Georgia State Bobcats will look to complete a regular-season sweep when they host the Andrew College Fighting Tigers in a men’s junior college basketball game on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026.

The Bobcats (9-17) narrowly defeated the Fighting Tigers (2-13) 96-91 on the road just 12 days ago, on Feb. 16. In that contest, East Georgia State’s Chibueze Irojanma was a dominant force, recording a triple-double. Irojanma remains a key player to watch for the Bobcats, coming off a 19-point, 12-rebound performance in a win over Albany Tech on Feb. 18.

Andrew, mired in a difficult season, seeks to halt a six-game losing streak. The Fighting Tigers are reeling from a 109-61 home loss to Central Georgia on Wednesday. In that defeat, guard Elijah Hightower provided a bright spot, scoring 22 points in 21 minutes. Hightower’s scoring ability will be central to any Andrew upset bid.

East Georgia State has struggled recently as well, dropping its last two games, including a 71-65 loss at Gordon State on Wednesday. The Bobcats have shown more consistency than their opponents this season, however, and will be favored at home.

A statistical projection from Interstat forecasts a remarkably even contest, simulating a 100-100 tie. This suggests a potentially high-scoring affair, mirroring the 187 combined points from their first meeting.

For Andrew, the game represents a chance for redemption after the recent blowout loss and the earlier close defeat to the Bobcats. For East Georgia State, it is an opportunity to solidify its standing and build momentum before closing the season against conference foes Southern Crescent and Central Georgia next week.

Tip-off is scheduled for Saturday at East Georgia State’s campus arena.
