Brunswick vs Caldwell Tech
Preview of Brunswick Dolphins at Caldwell Tech Cobras
BRUNSWICK, N.C. (Interstat) — The surging Brunswick Dolphins, ranked among the nation’s top junior college men’s basketball teams, visit the Caldwell Tech Cobras on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026, in a conference rematch.
Brunswick (16-3) enters on an eight-game winning streak, including a dominant 105-68 road victory at Cape Fear on Wednesday. In that game, standout Jamie Brooks posted 24 points, nine rebounds and four blocks. The Dolphins previously handled Caldwell Tech (9-8) 86-69 at home on Feb. 14, with Brooks contributing 12 points and four rebounds.
Brooks has been a consistent force for Brunswick. Over his last nine games, the forward is averaging 14.7 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per contest, showcasing elite defensive presence and efficient scoring.
The Dolphins’ offense has been explosive during their streak, surpassing 100 points three times. Alongside Brooks, backcourt contributors Darius Kane and Linwood Rowe provide balanced scoring and playmaking.
Caldwell Tech looks to defend its home court and split the season series. The Cobras are coming off a 99-70 home win over Denmark Tech on Tuesday, which snapped a two-game skid. Their season has been marked by inconsistency, with a notable overtime win at Cape Fear on Feb. 13 but also a 17-point loss in the first meeting with Brunswick.
For the Cobras to pull the upset, they must find an answer for Brooks inside and improve upon their defensive effort from the Feb. 14 matchup. Brunswick’s depth and high-powered offense present a significant challenge.
Tip-off is scheduled for Saturday afternoon at Caldwell Tech’s home arena. Brunswick visits Gaston on March 1, while Caldwell Tech hosts Gaston on March 4.
