Balanced Temple Attack Topples Southwestern Christian

(Interstat) — Temple used a high-scoring first half to secure a 105-87 men’s junior college basketball victory over Southwestern Christian on Wednesday night.

The visiting Leopards built a 105-87 win by shooting efficiently from the floor and dominating the opening quarters, taking a 12-point lead into halftime. The Rams could not close the gap after the break.

The win improves Temple to an even 10-10 on the season. Southwestern Christian falls to 9-17. Key performances for the Leopards included Byron Piper, Esbjorn Reidhav and Harry Bates leading a balanced offensive effort. Temple has now won both meetings between the teams this season.
