Brunswick vs Cape Fear

WILMINGTON, N.C. (Interstat) — A surging Brunswick men’s junior college basketball team looks to continue its dominant run when it visits Cape Fear on Wednesday night in a Region 10 conference matchup.

The Dolphins (15-3) enter on a six-game winning streak, including a 129-81 rout of Denmark Tech on Sunday. In that victory, sophomore forward Linwood Rowe was highly efficient, scoring 22 points and grabbing eight rebounds in just 18 minutes of play. Rowe’s recent form makes him a player to watch, as he provides a major spark off the bench for a deep Brunswick squad.

Brunswick’s offense has been potent, averaging 96 points during its current streak. The team also boasts resilience, with three overtime wins in its last 10 games, including an 88-80 double-overtime victory at Richard Bland on Feb. 18.

The host Cape Fear Sea Devils (6-9) seek to halt their recent slide and gain revenge from a lopsided loss earlier this month. On Feb. 5, Brunswick handled Cape Fear with ease, 97-73. The Sea Devils are looking to bounce back from a 118-94 road loss to Gaston on Saturday.

While Brunswick’s record is formidable, Cape Fear has shown flashes at home, including a 96-83 win over USC Salkehatchie on Feb. 18. Containing Brunswick’s balanced attack, which features multiple scoring threats beyond Rowe like Darius Kane and Alius Bowser, will be Cape Fear’s primary challenge.

This contest is the second of two scheduled regular-season meetings between the conference foes. Tipoff is set for Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026, at Cape Fear’s home court in Wilmington.

Following this game, Brunswick will prepare for a road test at Caldwell Tech on Saturday. Cape Fear’s next outing is at home against Richard Bland on March 4.
