Marshalltown vs Indian Hills
Preview: Marshalltown Tigers at Indian Hills Warriors
OTTUMWA, Iowa (Interstat) — A stark contrast in fortunes will be on display Tuesday night when the surging Indian Hills Warriors host the struggling Marshalltown Tigers in a men’s junior college basketball game.
The Warriors (23-2), one of the nation’s elite programs, enter the contest riding a wave of dominance. They have won 10 consecutive games, a streak that includes a decisive 108-61 victory over these same Tigers just over two weeks ago on Feb. 7. Indian Hills is coming off a 92-67 road win at Sauk Valley this past Saturday.
A player to watch for the Warriors is Vladyslav Semerych. In the previous meeting against Marshalltown, he logged 28 minutes and scored eight points. He followed that with a strong performance of eight points and seven rebounds in 21 minutes against Mineral Area on Feb. 18.
The Marshalltown Tigers (1-5) have faced a difficult season and will seek to avenge their lopsided loss to Indian Hills earlier this month. In that game, Tre’Von Coney led the Tigers with 14 points in 35 minutes, while Tristan Christopher added eight points. Marshalltown’s lone win this season came on Dec. 6, 2025, a 96-83 victory over Lake Region State.
The rematch at the Hellyer Center in Ottumwa appears to be a formidable challenge for the visitors. Indian Hills has not lost since early January and has averaged 92.3 points per game during its current three-game homestand. Marshalltown, meanwhile, has lost its last four contests by an average margin of 23.5 points.
Following this game, Indian Hills will prepare to host Highland (Ill.) on Friday. Marshalltown’s next outing is at home against Southeastern on Saturday.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday.
