Harcum vs Harford
Preview: Harcum Bears at Harford Fighting Owls
BEL AIR, Md. (Interstat) — The Harcum Bears look to solidify their winning season record when they visit the Harford Fighting Owls in a men’s junior college basketball matchup Tuesday night.
Harcum (8-5) enters with a clear edge in the standings over Harford (5-9) and seeks a regular-season series sweep. The Bears defeated the Fighting Owls 95-83 in their first meeting on Nov. 12, 2025. However, Harcum is coming off a 76-58 road loss to Monroe on Saturday, a game where standout Samuel Nuga led the team with 15 points and seven rebounds in 35 minutes.
Nuga remains a key player to watch for the Bears. Harford will counter with forward Trevon Morgan, who is coming off a strong performance in the Fighting Owls’ most recent game, an 86-83 win at Hagerstown on Feb. 9. In that victory, Morgan posted 18 points and eight rebounds.
Harford has shown offensive capability, scoring 110 points in a win over Baltimore City last month, but has struggled with consistency. The Fighting Owls’ defense will be tested by a Harcum squad that has scored 70 or more points in eight of its 13 games this season.
For Harcum, support for Nuga will be crucial. Zion Moore (12 points) and Richard Hampton (8 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists) were productive in the loss to Monroe. Harford will need a complete effort, likely relying on Morgan and guard Roy Palmer, who dished out nine assists in the win over Hagerstown.
This contest represents an opportunity for Harford to build momentum from its last outing and level the season series. For Harcum, it is a chance to rebound quickly from a defeat and maintain its position above .500 as the season progresses.
Tip-off is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026.
