Moberly Area vs Southeastern
WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa (Interstat) — A key Region 11 men’s junior college basketball matchup is set for Saturday when the Southeastern Blackhawks host the Moberly Area Greyhounds.
The Greyhounds (16-4) enter with the stronger overall record and momentum from a recent 88-77 home victory over Missouri State-West Plains on Feb. 14. However, their conference road form has been inconsistent, including a 71-64 loss at Three Rivers on Feb. 11. Moberly Area’s offense has been potent, scoring 80 or more points in eight games this season.
Southeastern (13-9) looks to rebound from a narrow 67-65 road loss to Highland (Ill.) on Wednesday. In that game, guard Brady Martin led the Blackhawks with 18 points, seven rebounds and four assists in 39 minutes. Martin has been a consistent performer, averaging 12.0 points per game over his last seven contests. His ability to contribute across multiple statistical categories will be vital for the Blackhawks’ chances.
The teams last met on Nov. 22, 2025, with Moberly Area securing a 92-82 home victory. Southeastern will aim to leverage home-court advantage to avenge that loss and improve its standing.
For Moberly Area, maintaining its offensive efficiency while shoring up its defense on the road will be the focus. Southeastern’s path to an upset likely hinges on containing the Greyhounds’ scoring threats and receiving another strong all-around effort from Martin.
Tipoff is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, at Loren Walker Arena. The game is a crucial late-season test for both teams as they position themselves for the postseason.
