Albany Tech vs Georgia Highlands

Preview: Albany Tech Titans at Georgia Highlands Chargers

ROME, Ga. (Interstat) — Two Georgia junior college men’s basketball teams seeking consistency will meet Saturday when the Albany Tech Titans visit the Georgia Highlands Chargers.

The Titans (8-10) arrive after a 67-78 road loss to East Georgia State on Wednesday. Prior to that, Albany Tech had won four straight games, including a 90-83 victory over Southern Crescent on Feb. 14 and an 84-75 win at Andrew on Feb. 11. The team has shown resilience at home but remains below .500 overall.

Albany Tech player to watch Jordyn Bradshaw has seen fluctuating minutes. He logged 10 minutes and scored four points with four rebounds in the win over Southern Crescent on Feb. 14, but played just one minute in the most recent loss.

The Georgia Highlands Chargers (6-10) are coming off a heartbreaking 63-64 defeat at Central Georgia on Wednesday. The Chargers have experienced several narrow losses this season, including an 87-89 setback at Gordon State on Feb. 11. They also have notable tight victories, such as a 91-90 overtime win against Andrew on Feb. 14.

The Chargers are led by guard Braylen Smith, who has been a standout performer. Smith is coming off a 21-point, 4-rebound effort in 32 minutes against Central Georgia. He has been a primary facilitator and scorer, recording a double-double with 15 points and 10 assists in a Feb. 4 win over Southern Crescent. His ability to impact the game in multiple phases will be central to Georgia Highlands’ success.

This matchup is the first of a home-and-home series between the teams, with a rematch scheduled in Albany on Monday, Feb. 23.

Both teams have struggled to find a sustained winning rhythm this season and will view this contest as a critical opportunity to build momentum ahead of the final stretch of region play. The game will tip off at 3 p.m. EST on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, at the Georgia Highlands College arena.
