Wilbur Wright vs Richard J Daley
CHICAGO (Interstat) — Two men’s junior college basketball teams seeking momentum will meet Thursday when the Richard J. Daley Bulldogs host the winless Wilbur Wright Rams.
The game, scheduled for Feb. 19, 2026, pits a Bulldogs squad (4-13) fresh off a victory against the struggling Rams (0-14), who are mired in a prolonged losing streak.
Daley enters with confidence after an 80-69 road win over Harry S Truman on Feb. 10. That victory snapped a two-game skid for the Bulldogs, who have shown sporadic competitiveness, including a narrow 68-67 home win over Olive-Harvey on Jan. 22 and a 74-73 road victory at Kennedy-King on Jan. 13.
Wilbur Wright’s season has been defined by frustration. The Rams are coming off a 105-65 road loss to Kankakee on Feb. 10 and have lost their games by an average margin of 27.6 points. Their closest contest was a 77-71 home loss to Harry S Truman on Dec. 16, 2025.
The head-to-head history heavily favors the Bulldogs. Just three weeks ago, on Jan. 29, Daley dominated Wilbur Wright 77-48 on the Rams’ home floor. That result is emblematic of Wright’s season-long struggles to contain opponents.
For Daley, the matchup represents a critical opportunity to build a winning streak and improve its standing before its next game at Olive-Harvey on Feb. 26. The Bulldogs will look to control the tempo and exploit their recent success against the Rams.
For Wilbur Wright, the game is another chance to break into the win column. The Rams’ upcoming schedule offers little respite, with a home game against Olive-Harvey on Feb. 21 followed by contests against Triton and Harry S Truman. Finding a spark on both ends of the floor is an urgent priority.
Tipoff is set for Thursday night at Richard J. Daley College.
