GASTON, N.C. (Interstat) — The Gaston Rhinos defeated the Wake Tech Eagles 81-76 in a men’s junior college basketball game Thursday night. Gaston improved to 13-2 while Wake Tech fell to 6-10.

The Rhinos used efficient offense, posting a 110.1 rating on 74 possessions, to secure the win. They shot 50.9% from the floor and 48% from three-point range. Kaleb Siler led Gaston with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Tony Goodman added 14 points and five assists.

Wake Tech kept pace early, trailing just 41-39 after the first quarter, but could not overtake the hosts. The Eagles’ loss marks their second this season to Gaston, following a Jan. 30 defeat.
