Otero vs Southeast

BOBCATS HOST RATTLERS IN JUNIOR COLLEGE REMATCH

BEATRICE, Neb. (Interstat) — The Southeast Community College Bobcats will look to complete a regular-season sweep when they host the Otero College Rattlers in a men’s junior college basketball game on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026.

Southeast (7-10) narrowly defeated Otero (3-18) 82-79 in overtime when the teams met in La Junta, Colorado, on Jan. 30. In that contest, Bobcats guard Marquis Toliver posted a triple-double with 16 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists in 39 minutes.

Toliver remains a key player to watch for the Bobcats. He is coming off a 15-point, 12-rebound performance in an 89-84 loss to Western Nebraska on Feb. 14. His consistent all-around production will be central to Southeast’s efforts.

For Otero, forward Sam Webb is a focal point. He recorded a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds in a road loss to Northeastern (Colorado) on Feb. 4 and scored 8 points with 6 rebounds in the Jan. 30 overtime loss to Southeast. The Rattlers, however, enter on a six-game losing streak, including a 96-77 home loss to Trinidad State on Feb. 11.

The Bobcats have struggled recently as well, dropping three of their last four games. Their offense was held to just 47 points in a lopsided loss to Northeastern (Colorado) on Feb. 11.

Wednesday’s matchup presents an opportunity for both teams to gain momentum. Southeast will aim to leverage its home court and previous win, while Otero seeks to break its skid and avenge the earlier overtime defeat. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. local time at the Bobcats’ home gym.
