Barton Outlasts Butler in High-Scoring Junior College Men’s Basketball Clash
EL DORADO, Kan. (Interstat) — The Barton Community College men’s basketball team secured a 102-94 road victory over Butler Community College on Wednesday night in a game defined by high-octane offense and frequent whistles.
Barton, now 19-8, built an early lead with a 44-point first quarter and held off a persistent Butler rally. The Cougars were efficient from the floor, shooting 52.7% overall, and capitalized at the free-throw line, making 38 of 48 attempts. Sebastian Muchitsch led Barton with 17 points and 13 rebounds.
Butler, which fell to 18-8, shot just 36.5% from the field and 21.7% from three-point range. Tim Walker II scored 17 points for the Grizzly Bears. The teams combined for 50 fouls and 43 turnovers in the fast-paced contest. Barton’s win avenged a previous loss to Butler earlier in the season.
