Paris vs Bossier Parish
Preview: Paris Dragons at Bossier Parish Cavaliers
BOSSIER CITY, La. (Interstat) — Two men’s junior college basketball teams seeking momentum will meet Wednesday when the Paris Dragons visit the Bossier Parish Cavaliers.
Paris (9-12) arrives after a 70-83 road loss to Kilgore on Monday. The Dragons have lost three of their last four games. Bossier Parish (4-14) looks to snap a two-game skid following a 64-75 defeat at Trinity Valley on Saturday. The Cavaliers have managed just one victory in their last seven contests.
The matchup offers a chance for both squads to build confidence. Paris holds the better overall record, but Bossier Parish won the season’s first meeting, 78-72, at Paris on Dec. 3, 2025.
A key player for the Dragons is guard Amari Brown, who is coming off a 20-point, 3-assist performance in 32 minutes against Kilgore. His scoring punch will be central to Paris’s offensive plans.
The Cavaliers will counter with forward Drew Cooper, who has been a consistent producer. Cooper is averaging 18.3 points and 6.8 rebounds over his last four full games, including a 20-point, 12-rebound double-double in a win over Coastal Bend on Feb. 7. His versatility presents a significant challenge for the Paris defense.
Both teams have struggled defensively this season. Paris has allowed 80 or more points in five of its last seven games. Bossier Parish has surrendered an average of 82.6 points per game during its 1-6 stretch.
The game is part of a critical late-season stretch for each program as they jockey for position ahead of regional tournament play. For Paris, it’s an opportunity to even the season series and get back to .500 in conference play. For Bossier Parish, it represents a chance to secure a rare winning streak and build on its earlier victory over the Dragons.
Tip-off is set for Wednesday night at the Cavaliers’ home court.
