Sauk Valley vs Richard J Daley

Skyhawks, Bulldogs Set for Rematch on Tuesday

CHICAGO (Interstat) — A recent nail-biter between the teams sets the stage for a men’s junior college basketball rematch Tuesday when the Sauk Valley Skyhawks visit the Richard J. Daley Bulldogs.

Tipoff is set for Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2026.

The Skyhawks (12-9) edged the Bulldogs 67-65 in their first meeting this season on Nov. 1 in Dixon, Illinois. They enter on a two-game winning streak, including a 96-86 victory over Triton on Saturday. Their offense has been potent, scoring 83 or more points in three of their last four contests.

Conversely, the Bulldogs (4-13) have struggled for consistency but are coming off one of their best performances of the season, an 80-69 road win over Harry S Truman on Feb. 10. That victory snapped a two-game skid. Their four wins have been by an average margin of just 4.5 points, highlighting their tendency for close games.

Sauk Valley’s form has been strong in February, going 3-1 this month with the lone loss a narrow 70-68 defeat at Southeastern. Prior to their recent win, Daley had lost five of its previous six games, often by wide margins, including a 30-point loss to Triton on Jan. 27.

The Skyhawks’ schedule shows a focus on efficient scoring, while the Bulldogs will look to build on their latest defensive effort after holding Truman under 70 points.

Following this contest, Daley hosts Wilbur Wright on Thursday. Sauk Valley’s next game is at home against Indian Hills on Saturday.
